Shapes and their meanings

Just like the colours that we researched, we also researched in to shapes and their meanings as well. We have been looking in to quite basic shapes like squares and circles. From some research we have found out some of the meanings behind these shapes:

 Circle - life, motion, female, beginning, potential, endless, cosmos.

 Square - honour, balance, structure, sacred, unification, structure.

 Swirl - expansion, contraction, feminine, journeys.

 Square - earth, security, structure, masculine, order.

 Triangle - combination, creation, manifestation, illumination.

From looking in to these shapes and the meanings behind them, we have decided to use the circle shape in our logo and as a running theme in our brand because of the meanings it has. We like the idea of the life and how it is an eternal cycle and how it is inclusive and therefore never ends. It symbolises not having a start or a ending. This is why we have chosen to use this as our shape.
