General Ideas

We have been thinking of different ideas and themes to look in to that are art related and fit the art gallery theme. We want to look in to things that connect art and hospitals/health together. For example the colour red is also used in certain cancer treatments and blood. This is one idea that we could look in to more.

We want to create something that is completely different to what is generally seen in hospitals. Everyone has been to hospital once in their lives and most people will say that the "vibe" and "feeling" they get from the hospitals are very cold and scary. We therefore want to completely change this and create somewhere where people can go and look at the art, and get involved maybe, and have somewhere that's warm and inviting, drawing them to it and therefore drawing them in to art.

We both like the idea of making it community based. To create something that the whole community can get involved in from patients, doctors, nurses, family and friends. It would be a nice place for patients to come down to in order to look at the art and meet new people, and were doctors and nurses can come to and feel more included and involved in something different.

We need to research in to branding but from what we know so far, we want to create the logo, with a lot of underlying references to hospital related things, a letterhead, so that the art gallery has paper which has been branded, a website, explaining what and who the art gallery would be and what it would do and a leaflet of flyer that could be handed out to people whilst at the art gallery or handed around the community promoting the art gallery and try and get other people to come along and visit.

We want to find local artists per each place to travel to so that local artists get a chance to show of latest pieces of work.

It would be nice to create a wall of memorial in each hospital maybe to remind people of the importance of art in hospitals after we leave and hopefully create a new movement to get hospitals to look more warm and inviting rather than cold and scary.

These are all things the we need to research in greater detail and look at further to see whether they would be relevant and what we could do with them to make a perfect branding for the gallery.
